Info

Kino Kilta is a cinema, living room, and meeting place for all film lovers, opened in 2024. Located in Art House Turku (Nunnankatu 4), the cinema is owned by the Film Centre of Southwest Finland (VSEK).

Kino Kilta is driven by the goal of promoting cinema culture, research, and enjoyment. In addition to selected premieres, the high-quality program includes special series and screenings, classics, festivals, and other events.

programme

The programme is usually published weekly for the period from Friday to Thursday. Special events may be announced and put on sale earlier.

Coffee Cinema – on weekdays, screenings starting before 4 p.m. are accompanied by the aroma of coffee, as affordable tickets come with a free cup of coffee or tea that you can enjoy before, during, or after the movie!

Alcoholic beverages – The screenings in which you may enjoy alcoholic drinks are at the website marked with a small drink glass and the note “K18”, meaning that the screenings can be attended only by those who are 18 years or older. In the lobby, drinks are usually sold during all screenings.

accessibility

Kino Kilta is located in the Fire Brigade (Palokunta) building of Art House Turku (Taiteen talo), above WAM Kilta Gallery, with which the entrance is shared. The courtyard can be accessed from the main gate on Nunnankatu, from Hämeenkatu next to the theater, or from the Brinkkala courtyard passageway.

From September 1, 2025, barrier-free access is unfortunately only temporarily available, on Fridays and Saturdays. We are currently working with the property’s security company to reorganize the route. Please note the longer route and arrive in good time. You can notify us of your estimated arrival time in advance (+358(0)50 310 3205, during opening hours), and our staff will be there to welcome you. Due to our unique location, the accessible elevator route runs through the neighboring building (entrance A) and requires a key. The accessible route is often also in use at special events and series, such as the Turku regional series organized by the National Audiovisual Institute of Finland on Mondays.

Assistants can get into movies for free by showing their EU disability card at the theatre. For now, you can’t buy assistant tickets online, but you can get them at the box office or reserve them in advance by sending an email to: liput@kinokilta.fi.

tickets and prices 2025

It is not possible to make in our online store only a reservation. If you would like to reserve seats for an event and pay at the box office, please send an email to liput@kinokilta.fi or call +358(0)50 310 3205 at our opening hours.

Online store & payment methods

Tickets can be purchased from our website via the Tixly online store, which uses Paytrail as its payment service.

We prefer card payments at the ticket office, but you can also pay in cash. You may also use ePassi and Smartum payment methods and Edenred card payments at the theatre.

All films shown at Kino Kilta can be found on our website, but depending on the organizer, tickets may not necessarily be available for purchase in our online store or at our ticket office. In such cases, the details will be specified in the event’s informations.
