This page lists events organized by Kino Kilta, the Film Centre of Southwest Finland (VSEK), and its member organizations. Most events can also be found on the Screenings page, if the event is coming soon, and tickets can be purchased at the Kino Kilta box office and on the website. FINNISH FILM FESTIVAL (Suomalaisen elokuvan festivaali)

VSEK has been organizing the Finnish Film Festival in Turku since 1992. The 2026 festival will be held at Kino Killa from April 9 to 12, 2026. The festival features new releases, classics, visits by filmmakers, and a supporting program. The guest of honor at the 2026 festival will be film director Teemu Nikki. NIGHT VISIONS TURKU

Cinema Delirium ry. organizes the Night Visions Turku event, which focuses on genre films, in spring and autumn. The spring 2026 event will take place on April 17–18, 2026. For more information, visit https://nightvisionsturku.com. The association also organizes regular Cinema Delirium special screenings at Kino Kilta.

TURKU ANIMATED FILM FESTIVAL

Turun elokuvatapahtumat ry. organizes the Turku Animated Film Festival. Part of the city’s cultural life since 2016, the festival showcases animation creators, gems of the genre, and new releases. The next festival will be held on August 26–30, 2026. For more information, visit https://taff.fi/fi/.

VIDEO ART FESTIVAL TURKU

Organized by Ääriö ry., the Video Art Festival Turku (VAFT), which specializes in presenting video art, holds its screenings at Kino Kilta. In spring 2026, VAFT will be featured in Kino Kilta’s program with a monthly PLAY screening series. For more information, visit https://www.videoartfestivalturku.com/fi.

KINOKKIO

The Kinokkio children’s film club offers free screenings for children at Kino Kilta. Screening times are announced on Kino Kilta’s communication channels and on the Screenings page.

KINOKOPLA

Kinokopla, film club operating since 1965, organizes screening series and special events at Kino Kilta. Kinokopla has its own regular series in spring and autumn. Kino Kilta sells series tickets for the screenings, but otherwise Kinokopla handles ticket sales independently. For more information, visit https://kinokopla.fi.

TURKU CINEMA CLUB (Turun elokuvakerho)

Founded in 1952, the Turku Film Club organizes special screenings and series at Kino Kilta in spring and autumn. Events can be found on the Kino Kilta Screenings page. For more information, visit https://turunelokuvakerho.blogspot.com.

In addition to the events and special screenings mentioned above, Kino Kilta organizes several of its own special screenings, events, and series, such as the Klassikko Kilta (for classics) and Kultti Kilta (for cult movies). More information about the events can be found on the Screenings page.

Kino Kilta also hosts a movie quiz called Hikinen kiltapäivä. The quiz dates for spring 2026 are February 24, March 31, and April 28. The quiz starts at 7 p.m., lasts about two hours, and the questions are in Finnish. Teams can consist 1–4 people. Welcome!
